Delete your account

Two taps inside the app, no request and no waiting for us. This page is for the reviewer who needs it written down, and for anyone who has already removed the app.

Which account this covers

The account you have in the app that sent you here. Every app Mystiva publishes uses the same mechanism and the same address, and this page is linked from each of them.

An account is per app: deleting it in one app does not touch an account you may have in another, because the two never shared a row. If you use more than one, delete in each.

You may not have an account at all. Onboarding, charts and the daily sky work anonymously; an account only exists if you asked for one with your e-mail address.

From the app

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Confirm. There is no second screen asking you to reconsider, and nothing offers you a discount to stay.

Export first if you want a copy. Settings also has Export my data, which produces a machine-readable file of everything the account holds. After deletion there is nothing left to export — that is the point.

If the app is already uninstalled

Write to [email protected] from the address the account uses, and name the app. We reply within 30 days, in practice within a few days.

If you write from a different address we will ask you to confirm from the account's own — an e-mail is the only thing tying an account to a person, and honouring an unverified deletion request would be its own privacy failure.

What is deleted

Everything the account holds. Named individually, because "all your data" is not an answer:

Sign-out, the deletion flag and the tombstone are immediate: the moment the request returns, every screen in the app answers as if the account never existed. The rows themselves are erased by a background pass, normally within minutes and at most within 30 days.

What is kept, and for how long

The shared interpretation cache also survives, and holds nothing of yours: its entries are keyed by a deidentified feature hash, so one account leaving must not cost every other account its warm cache.

Deleting the app is not deleting the account

Removing an app from your phone removes what was on the phone. If you created an account, its rows are on our server until you delete it here or from Settings. This is worth saying plainly because it is the assumption people most often get wrong.
